We have lots of new tools to help you with your stitching, including:

  • Tacky Bobs, for holding your beads
  • A new selection of decorative magnets to hold your needles on your needlework
  • Ribbon style Chatelaines with emery strawberries
  • New styles of scissors, including ones especially made to help in “retro-stitching”
  • Various styles of tweezers
  • Needle safes and cases
  • Scissor fobs

These “toys” also make great gifts for stitching friends with or without an accompanying gift certificate.


 

Canvases

New canvases continue to arrive every day. We have everything from miniature Christmas ornaments to a large Geisha figure. There are canvases from all your favorite designers including Lee, Jean Smith, Melissa Shirley, Cooper Oaks, and Silver Needle.

Catalog

We now have catalog pages with pictures for all you Jean Smith fans.

Knitting

Many new yarns and colors are arriving at Annie and Company Knitting.

Annie and crew attended the January TNNA Show in California where they ordered many new items.  New merchandise is arriving everyday. Continue to check the store and our website. Some new items that have already arrived in the store are described here.

 

Needlepoint

New Threads & Colors

We now have the beautiful over-dyed cotton floss from ThreadworX.

ThreadworX

If you have a favorite color in the old discontinued Needle Necessities line, we have a conversion chart to help you select the equivalent thread from ThreadworX.

We now have a collection of iron-on threads from Kreinik.

Baby Ull
This yarn is available in all colors with pattern support.

Malabrigo
We have this yarn in three weights: worsted, chunky, and lace.

Patterns

We now have all the patterns from Bergère de France available for purchase.

String Doll Gang

These oddly adorable key ring talismans are available in many styles. They can be used on your scissor or knitting bag as well as for keys. Just a few examples are shown here.

Classes

You may request private or semi-private lessons for any aspect of needlework or knitting you want.

Beading

Dana and Bert Freed from The Well Done Experience will be conducting a Beginner Bead Crochet class at Annie & Co. Knitting. You have a choice of two classes - Wednesday, March 26th  6 - 9 pm or Sunday, April 6th  2 - 5 pm. The cost of the class is $100.00 plus $35.00 for materials.

You will complete this beautiful chain stitch necklace in the time allotted for the class. You must be able to do a crochet chain.

Needlepoint

All Needlepoint classes are 6:30 to 8:30 pm.


People and Animals       $120
Mondays                 April 7, 14

Learn about both stitches and threads to use for Hair, Fur and Feathers. Bring a laying tool; a bunca brush is suggested but not required.

Color/Shading                 $120
Thursdays            March 13, 20
Learn how to use color including: different ways to use overdyed threads, shading, and blending techniques.
Materials fee: $15

Monochrome Sampler    $150
Wednesdays      April 3, 10, 17, 24

Create a project using 11 stitches and several different threads in a subtle palette. You may select ecru, white, pale pink or pale blue. You must select your color when registering for the course to ensure the appropriate materials are available. A laying tool is required.

Monochrome Sampler

Landscape Stitches         $120
Mondays              March 17, 24
Learn multiple stitches for different elements in landscape canvases such as water, trees, sky, mountains, fields etc. Bring any landscape canvas and after covering each element we will decide which variation works best on your canvas. You may also simply work on blank canvas and/or paper to create a reference for future projects.

Embellishments               $120
Fridays                  March 7, 14
Bring or purchase any designer canvas that you want to embellish with different stitches and specialty threads.
